About Tet and Banh Hung

Lunar New Year, also known as Tet, is the biggest traditional festival of the year for Vietnamese people.   4. Add the filling: Place a layer of chickpeas on top of the rice, followed by a piece of meat, and then add another layer of green beans.
  5. Coat with glutinous rice: Finally, coat the filling with a layer of glutinous rice.
  6. Fold the leaves: Fold the edges of the dong leaves so that the cake is square, use a lat to tie the cake tightly.

After wrapping, the cake needs to be boiled for about 8-10 hours. Heat a wood or gas stove over medium heat, making sure the water is always covered with the cake. During boiling, it is necessary to check and add water if necessary.
